First published in German in 1958 as “Wir Kommen Aus Dem Meer”. It chronicles Hass’s underwater adventures, particularly his Red Sea expeditions including encounters with sharks.The book features Hass’s own underwater photography, some of which was groundbreaking at the time.
Hardback. No dust jacket. Ex-Library copy. Catalogue number on the spine. Inside covers scuffed, possibly due to the removal of lending sheets. Ink smudge on back inside cover. Front endpaper inscribed, Library binding, 1st edition 1958, Scarce Hass title’. Library stamp on reverse of Title page. Surface layer of paper lifted on page 15. Pencilled notation in margin of page 127. Foxing on several pages, especially those opposite a page of photographs.
