The Earl of Mayo in 1888 was Dermot Robert Wyndham Bourke (1851–1927), who served as the 7th Earl of Mayo. He was an Anglo-Irish peer and patron of the arts. Francis Francis (1822–1886), was a prominent English angler and writer on fisheries management.
