In 1774 John Day , a millwright from Suffolk, attempted to remain submerged in a boat that he had modified and had reputedly successfully ‘dived’ some time earlier. Unfortunately his experiment in 1774 ended in tragedy.
Stapled paperback. Edges lightly rubbed but otherwise in good condition.. Reg Vallintine book plate on inside front cover. Pages very slightly yellowed along top and leading edge.
