Grenville (1542-1591) was  a brave but flawed sea captain and explorer who became a legendary figure in the resistance to the Spanish Armada. He died when wounded in the Battle of Flores, a fight in which he struggled against overwhelming odds.

Hardback with dust jacket. Jacket has small tears at top and bottom edges. Fly leaves clipped. First and last few pages lightly foxed, but otherwise in good condition. Reg Vallintine book plate on inside front cover.
