The HDSES (Historical Diving Society Spain) is organising an international event to commemorate Spanish diving pioneer Eduard Admetlla’s record dive on September 30th 1957 to a depth of 100 metres. As this dive was made from a vessel of the CBA (Centro de Buceo de la Armada/Admiralty Diving Centre), a reconstruction of that dive will be made on Friday 30th May 2025, at 10:00 hours, by divers from the Spanish Navy, from the A-20 NEPTUNO, a vessel specially fitted for diving.
Friday 30th May
10:00 – Re-enactment of Eduard Admetlla’s historic dive . Admiralty Diving Centre.
Since access to the CBA’s military installations in Algameca, just outside Cartagena, require our presenting a list of participants in advance, and due to need to find and reserve lodging in the city of Cartagena, please let us know if you intend to come at your earliest convenience.
