Notes about the Index 1991-1997

How the Index is organised

The Index is a cumulative index for the issues stated below. Further indexing is in progress. There is also a contents list, and some articles are online.

Back issues and reprints are available from our Back Issues & Reprints Dept.

Early issues of the Newsletter were numbered in conventional style of Volume (year) and Number (issue). Items in the Index from these issues are recorded as follows:

Example: 2/3 (7) represents Volume 2, Issue Number 3. Page Number 7.

Later issues received an Issue Number only. Where there is an Issue Number, this is used instead (in a few cases there are both notations, but the Issue Number is still used to identify an Index entry):

Example: 8 (4) represents Issue Number 8, Page Number 4.

The Index covers the following editions:

1991   Vol 1: No. 1 Spring 1991; No. 2 Summer 1991; No. 3 Winter 1991
1992   Vol 2: No. 1 Spring 1992; No. 2 July 1992; No. 3 Winter 1992 (No 6)
1993   Vol 3: No. 1 Spring 1993 (No. 7); No. 2 Summer 1993 (No. 8)

1994 No. 9 (January); No. 10 (May) No. 11 (October)
1995 No. 12 (April); No. 13 (August); No. 14 (December)
1996 No. 15 (April); No. 16 (Summer); No. 17 (Winter)
1997 No. 18 (Spring); No. 19 (Summer); No. 20 (Winter).

From Issue No. 16 (Summer 1996) the newsletter was called Historical Diving Times.
