STONEY COVE 2006
10th June

Report by John Smillie

We had another good turnout at Stoney Cove on the 10th June, with 20 members, including 3 new members, Dave Warren, and Trevor Lee who are local to the area, and Nick Field who signed up on the day.

14 members were dived including the new ones, plus 2 members of the Stoney Cove staff who fancied a try, they all thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

We had two Siebe Gorman Single Cylinder pumps and two Siebe Gorman 6 bolt Helmets, using a variety of suits, the Otter 6 bolt, a Siebe Gorman 6 bolt and tried a Chinese 12 bolt suit with a 6 bolt helmet, all went very well.

Our members there on the day travelled from various parts of the country, including Preston, Grimsby, Sheffield, London, Gosport, Dublin and West Wales.

Once again the weather was excellent, with the sun blazing down all day.

Many thanks to Margaret and the Staff at Stoney Cove in assisting the Historical Diving Society to have another excellent rally in 2006. John Smillie (WEG North)
