There was good weather on the Saturday, although still had usual problems with Security/ Stewards etc.

The diving went well, although more relaxed than usual and we put 5 divers in the water (Howard, Martin, Keith, Ty, and Brian).

Una, Joyce and Di manned the Stall/ Shop all day and did an excellent job. Geof Smethurst's creche went very well with the kids (small & big) trying on the Plastic Helmet and Dive Boots, and getting their photos taken.

Sunday wasn’t quite as good weather wise, it was colder and windier, and we found a good use for the 40lb chest and back weights, for keeping the gazeebos on the ground!

It was a slow start to the day, probably due to the weather, but it eventually pick up, and finished busier than the Saturday.

On the Sunday we dived 4 divers (John Yarrow, Howard, Gary and Ty). We used my bits and pieces and Howard Dykes' Siebe 6 Bolt for the Diving, Roy Argyle brought two Siebe 6 Bolts, Joe Caddick a nice 12 Bolt, Ty Burton had a 6 Bolt, Brass Weights and Comms Set, and I had a couple of Siebe Helmets, Twin Hose Regs, Knives, Torches, and Computers etc. on display.

I think thanks must go to everyone who turned up and helped to make Liverpool 2005 a great success again this year, especially Howard Dykes, who made our table top cabinet to cover our small items on display, which allowed everyone there to relax and not worry about losing small items.

Thanks for all your assistance. John Smillie (WEG)(N)
