| This event is held annually at Ring Farm, Carrrs
Lane, Cudworth near Barnsley with the South Yorkshire Police. Four dives took place over the day in a 10 foot glass tank, with police divers and HDS members demonstrating old and new diving equipment. John Smillie did the first HDS dive wearing a Siebe Gorman 6 bolt helmet and the second dive was done by Howard Dykes demonstrating a 12 bolt helmet. John Buxton and new member Andrew Hamill pumped air to the diver and used the diver's comms unit. Geoff Smethurst provided a commentary and answered questions from the audience. Our merchandising stand was ably manned by Una Smilllie, Di King and Carol Farr. |
